What’s your passion going to be after you retire?

What’s your passion going to be after you retire?

How many years of life has Medicare added to the average senior citizen? Well I don’t know. First let’s start with the ability to see a doctor. If you look in almost any town you will see there are new clinics everywhere. They treat everything from childbirth to Alzheimer’s. There are many doctors to choose from and most of them specialize in something. You can get a new knee, heart stents, treatment for almost every kind of cancer. There are better detection methods and preventive test doctors can run. Plus the thousands of new drugs to treat just about anything a person could get. So the answer to my question is not an easy one.
People are living longer. People are doing more at later ages. Some choose to continue to work while others have to work for various and sundry reasons. Retirement isn’t what it used to be. Older adults are taking on new tasks, volunteering, and making a difference in many communities. Retirement is no longer the last stop on our train ride to old age, but a hopping off point onto a light rail system showing us an infinite choice of new possibilities. The big difference is now we get to choose and in some cases the passion we’ve felt for something can rise to the surface. Find your passion and pursue it….
