Where can we find peace?

I was looking at the news from around the world today and asking myself, where isn’t there a war going on? The Middle East is hot bed of violence from Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, and Southern Sudan. In North Korea even the uncle isn’t safe. War is still raging in areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan with many people caught in the middle. Refugee camps are along boarders of countries everywhere causing all kinds of health problems. Lack of food, education, and a warm home are now the norm for many children.
What country do these young people call home? What are their hopes and dreams and how can anyone help? Or even who should be helped. Everyone deserves an opportunity to live in peace. I’m just not sure how to make that happen. We, the USA, invaded Iraq and removed a cruel dictator only to be replaced by what? A government that is more concerned about taking care of themselves rather than rebuilding a country. And what’s going to happen in Afghanistan in a couple of years? Several or maybe many “leaders” will be rich, and live in exile while the country is still in shambles. It seems to me if you want to invade another country you face the consequence of the world intervention. If you just want to slater your own citizens in your own country then nobody will interfere. In the movie “War Games” even the computer learned that violence is not the answer. With all the religious holidays this time of the year, isn’t it a good time to stop killing each other?
