How many of us have never made a mistake? How many times have “we” forgotten to pick up the kids, put on our seat belt, pay our VISA bill, change the oil in our car, or remember our anniversary? I made the mistake of thinking I could write a novel. Little did I know what it really entailed. Ideas for a book are the easy part for me; it’s the writing part that is so difficult. How much detail to put into each scene, whose point of view am I in, and how does it fit into the rest of the story? Is it there, their or they’re. Should I lie, lay or maybe it’s laying.
I would have given up long ago if it hadn’t been for those around me encouraging me to continue. So sometime today encourage someone to do their best, work through the tough times and keeping moving forward and learning. You may never know the size of the spark you’ve help ignite within them.
