Everyone is looking for a fight. Say “Black Lives Matter” and bang we have a fight. Say “White lives Matter” bingo we have a fight. Say anything and the words get twisted to agree with your political view. Right, left, black, white, foreign, immigrant, it doesn’t matter.
When are we going to get back to talking to each other as fellow human beings? What about having a conversation without raising our voices to out shout the others? Are we all so unhappy that the world will end soon? Stop and take a breath. Stop pointing fingers and find solutions. The death of a young black man or a white police officer is one too many. There are so many people who care dearly about America.
We elect our members of government to solve problems. Start by having a “normal” conversation with those that disagree. None of us are perfect. We all have our biases, but I can tell you mine have changed over the years. It wasn’t something that happened in a day, but it can start today. The world looks to the United States of America to be the ones who take the higher ground. Start today so we all can have a better tomorrow. And if you can’t find someone you can trust to do this, vote for me. I’ll make it better. Not perfect, just better.
