Are there more conflicts around the world today or do we just know about more? We’ve all searched the web for stories that peak our interests; whether it is in a country we’ve visited or one that has surprised us. There are over fifty countries in Africa and I’m sure there are problems in most of them. Doesn’t matter if it is South Africa or Egypt; something is always going on.
In Asia, it’s the same thing. It could be a revolt or a typhoon that is on the news. Russia was Russia until it took over a number of surrounding countries. Since the fall of the USSR these countries seem to continually have “small” disputes. With the drug lords in South America, the mobs in Russia, chemical weapons in Syria, the pirates in Somalia and terrorists everywhere, what is going on in the world? Is this something new or has it been going on for millenniums but we didn’t have 24/7 news and internet access? How many more issues will begin before the end of the year? Maybe a bigger question is how many will be resolved peacefully?
