We’ve all played it, ‘Kick the Can.’ Mostly when we were young and needed something to do with our neighborhood friends on a warm summer evening while the sun was setting in the west. It was a child’s game meant to be fun and keep us out of the house for a while longer.
Lately the rules have changed. The game now is played by adults and never ends. They’ve modified the rules and now everyone is IT. We are all searching for answers, rules and solutions. As parents, it is time to call all our children home and end the game.
So today I declare: “Olly olly oxen free!” Game over.
