How long would you keep your job if every time something didn’t get done you said it was somebody else’s fault? Well we have congressmen and women who have been in their jobs for decades and we still vote for them. So really who should take the blame? Both parties point their fingers at the other. They’ve all become rich being in congress. One has gotten a new road right near a hospital he just happens to have ownership in. Each member of congress can go home and tell their constituents what great things they’ve gotten for their community, but at what cost? If all four hundred plus members of congress each get one thing done then every item in my community cost 40,000% more than it should. No wonder we’re broke.
I’d like to say, don’t pay them until they do something, but they don’t need the money. So let them stay in Washington DC and not go home. Pay them but don’t give them an airline ticket home. Make them stay there with no food service, no transportation, no cell phone or computer. I’m so tired of their inaction and failure to address the big issues. Step up and show me I’m wrong. Show me you can do what is right. Otherwise do us all a favor and just quit.
