Can somebody just take the lead!

I’m glad I’m not president. There seems to be way too many issues on his table right now, both domestic and foreign. The number one domestic issue is money, or more correctly, the lack of money. We spend more than we take in and have done so for decades. It doesn’t seem to matter if the president is Republican or Democrat the results are the same, more spending. Both parties talk the talk and then defer into the next whatever. Well the next whatever is here and we are in trouble. Nobody can agree on what not to do, so we don’t do anything. Right now we’re facing a government shutdown. During the last shutdown I was out trying to go steelhead fishing when we were stopped by the park ranger, saying the park was closed. All the times I’ve fished this river I’ve seen a ranger once, when the park was closed. Seemed fishy to me.
Foreign problems are everywhere. Name a country and there’s a problem. Doesn’t matter if it’s a friend or foe, there are problems. In Kenya there are shootings, Iran is making nuclear weapons, North Korea is just a mess, Greece is completely broke, Colombia has drugs lords, and I think China is near a social revolution. Is this a house of cards and is everything about to collapse? I don’t know, but if it does happen there will be global chaos. Great leaders can prevent this, if they can talk to each other without firing an AK-47 at one another. The time for rhetoric is over and now is the time for action. If I was president I’d ask congress for a balanced budget. If they didn’t give me one, I’d veto it. Stop pointing fingers and solve the problems. Isn’t that why we elected them?
